had a enjoyable day out with my mum, accompanying her to a lunch at meritus mandarin's pine court chinese restaurant that showcased their chinese new year 'gastronomic delights'. the food was fantastic especially the superior shark's fin soup! YUMMY!!!

superior shark's fin (double-boiled with tropical abalone and spare ribs)
king prawn
fortune chicken (braised with ginseng, sea cucumber, dried oyster and black moss)
roasted crispy duck
'soon hock' fish
fragrant japanese glutinous rice (steamed with chinese sausages wrapped in lotus leaf)
pine court dessert (sweetened osmanthus syrup with glutinous rice ball and sweet potato chinese 'nian gao' with coconut juice)
